In Irish folklore, the Fifth Province was an imagined territory beyond the four traditional provinces of Leinster, Munster, Connacht and Ulster. Traditionally associated with Mide, at the centre of the island, it was a meeting place: a place where rulers could gather and disputes were settled.
The Fifth Province magazine is an imagined place beyond the boundaries of the four traditional provinces: a place for conversation, culture and ideas.
